Nexgen offers Y2K contingency plan to organizations in the process of upgrading to BPCS® Version 6.0

Can license Focus/2000 conversion tool on monthly basis and convert existing applications before they begin to fail

October 5, 1998 — Nexgen Software Technologies, Inc., the premier provider of automated millennium solutions for the BPCS® and PRMS marketplaces, today announced that is offering a Y2K contingency plan to organizations still in the process of upgrading to BPCS®Version 6.0 for the IBM AS/400.

"While Version 6.0 is fully century-enabled, organizations upgrading earlier BPCS™ versions to this much more complex client/server version may not complete the long ERP implementation and retraining cycle in time. We are offering them a unique contingency plan: license our Focus/2000 automatic Y2K conversion tool now on a monthly basis, and convert all or part of their existing applications before they start to fail," said Richard L. Halsten, President and General Manager of Nexgen. "It's a cost-effective way to insure the firm against business disruptions that could happen if important ERP applications are not century-compliant. You only pay the license fee for as long as you need the tool, and we credit the license fee against the full purchase price."

Organizations will be able to license Focus/2000 for $10,000 a month, up to a maximum purchase price of $100,000. There is a minimum 3-month commitment period.

The V6.0 contingency plan program follows in Nexgen's long tradition of providing solutions for BPCS®users. Currently, Nexgen's millennium solution is in use worldwide at hundreds of sites, and dozens of companies have already completed their millennium conversions due to the speed, precision, and reliability of the software.
