NexgenEuro automates conversion process
for the BPCS® ® ERP system for the IBM AS/400

Anaheim, October 5, 1998 — Nexgen Software Technologies, Inc., the premier provider of automated millennium solutions for the BPCS® and PRMS marketplaces, today announced at COMMON that next month it will ship a new Euro solution for the BPCS® ERP application system for the IBM AS/400. The new NexgenEuro software tool automates euro currency conversion and compliance for BPCS® Versions 2 through 5, including BPCS® CD (Version 4.05CD).

"Once again, Nexgen has engineered a solution for companies that have heavily modified BPCS® and therefore have chosen not to upgrade to the client/server BPCS® Version 6.0," said Daniel J. It allows you to automatically euro-enable your system, and you do not have to re-install your BPCS® applications, as is the case with other Euro solutions."

NexgenEuro for BPCS® is specifically designed to automatically euro-enable older versions of the BPCS® software package from System Software Associates, Inc. It automatically applies EMU-conforming modifications to BPCS® programs, to modified BPCS® programs, and to BPCS® -fashioned custom programs. A built-in development framework manages source code changes and recompilation as well as test staging of converted programs. Initial release is scheduled for November 30, 1998.

The new NexgenEuro solution will be distributed and supported by Nexgen and its business partners, who are in the top tier of BPCS® service providers worldwide. In September, Groupe IBS, based in Puteaux outside of Paris, announced at its user group meeting that it will include the new tool in the set of products it markets in France, Belgium and Switzerland.
